The policy was approved by a Group Conscience vote held by survey poll from Feb 4-18, 2024, with results announced at the business meeting on February 19, 2024.

It will come up for review at a date to be determined, possibly nine months from approval.

Background Material

Work began on these guidelines in July 2023. An initial proposal was posted to the website on July 24th in preparation for a group conscience vote on July 30th. There was a great deal of discussion, so no vote was taken. The draft (wrongly labeled 1st Draft) was rewritten and posted to the website for comments on December 14th in advance of a Town Hall meeting on January 7th. Here are the minutes of that meeting. Modifications were made and the policy was put to a vote by poll from February 5th – 18th.
